About Me

Hi, my name is Emmanuel Daneau and I’m an audio enthusiast.

I am based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and I’ve been working in the video game industry for 6 years.

I specialize in sound design and technical sound design for games in my professional life and like to compose ambient music and play the guitar in my spare time.

I have had the chance to be a Technical Audio Lead for the past two years on an undisclosed project at Eidos-Montréal, but following a restructuration my role was abolished on the 29th of January 2024, with 96 other people at the company. Following this news, I took the opportunity to organize a bicycle touring trip in Southern Europe, where I will be gathering natural and urban soundscapes while following the Mediterranean Sea’s northern shore on two wheels.

I will be looking for a new role in sound design in the video game or film industry when I get back in Montreal, in June 2024.

I have a bachelor’s degree in arts composed of a major in popular music and a minor in digital music from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM).

My mother tongue is French and I am fluent in English.

AMBIENT MUSIC

Here you can find my personal ambient music project. Have a listen if you are curious.

“Acoustic and electric guitars blend with the different layers of synthesizers to form a universe that oscillates between dream and reality.

This album is intended to be a representation of the path traveled towards acceptance.

A bad dream, that ends well.”
